Our Little Man

We finally have given our little man a name. Drum Roll please.......Brecken Quade Rasco. We are so excited to be calling him something other than baby. I have loved the name Brecken since the first time I've heard it. It had to grow on Brady a little, but soon he LOVED it!! :) Now, just ready to move to Lockney and get the nursery all set up. We found a rent house and it will be available to move in the first of March. After spring break, we will start getting it all ready for Brecken to arrive.

Mom, Dad, and I are going to Canton this coming weekend to see if we can find stuff for the baby room. We are looking for the PERFECT baby bedding. Just have to wait to see. WE are really beginning to get excited!

Brady got to feel the baby move for the first time today. He was so cute! He was laying his head and hands on my stomach just wanting to feel him move. He was like, "that was him, right?' and I would say, "No babe, that's my heart beat." After a couple of times of doing that, Brecken kicked and Brady's eyes got HUGE! He said, "That really was him, huh?" and it was. SO COOl!! Can't tell you how amazing it feels to have a little person growing and kicking inside of you and then for your husband to be able to finally feel it was such a blessing!!! Who said that God doesn't exist?

Having fun counting down the weeks!!!

Halfway there!!

We are 20 weeks today...which means we are halfway there to seeing baby Rasco in person. We are still calling him little man, baby, or anything OTHER than his name, because....we can't decide on a name. We have a few picked out, but just can't agree...yet! I'm still trying to get him to just say "yes dear". ;) We do know that his name will start with a B.

I've FINALLY felt him move! What a wonderful feeling! We go back to the doctor next week! Can't wait to see how much he has grown! Getting excited by the day....

19 weeks and our First 4D sonogram!!!

We went to the doctor for the 4D sonogram yesterday. It wasn't as cool as we had hoped, however, we did get REALLY good news! Everything looked PERFERCT! His heart and brain looked just like it was suppose to. The only thing they couldn't see was him looking directly at us, so we couldn't see his face. He is stubborn....like his Daddy and NOT like his momma :) We all know that that is only partially true...haha. Because of this, they scheduled us to come back in 6 weeks. We only got to see him in 3D for just a little bit. He is skin and bone, but he doesn't look like an alien, which I was excited! While they were in 3D, he was rubbing on his forehead with the back of his hand and opening and closing his mouth. Brady says he was singing! He is growing just perfectly and his measurements are right on for a 19th week baby. He weighed 10 oz yesterday....so little!! I am falling more in love with him everyday!!

I haven't really felt any movement yet (that I know of), but Dr. Killeen said I should be feeling him move in the next two weeks. I can't wait!!! Our next dr. appointment is on Feb. 11th before Brady goes to San Antonio. Gonna be fun!! I promise I will upload pictures....I just have to get them scanned in.

Our New ADVENTURE!!!

On November 16th of 2008, we found out we were having a baby. Totally unexpected, but SO excited to be expecting. We went in for our sonogram at 8 weeks and we found out we lost the baby. We had what is called a molar pregnancy, which is very rare....go figure. I had a D and C on Dec. 18th and we took the next few months day by day. I continued to pray that God would bless us someday with a beautiful healthy baby.

Well, exactly one year...to the date, we found out again....WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!! We were trying for a while this summer, but decided to give up when it wasn't the "right timing". Little did we know that God would bless us with a sweet little baby. I didn't even find out we were pregnant until I was 9 weeks along. The next week we went in for a sonogram (holding our breaths and shaking), we found out that everything is PERFECT! It was moving around so much, that Dr. Killeen was having a hard time getting measurements. What a great sight!! We set our next appointment Dec. 22nd, a month away. Since Brady has found out we were pregnant, he swears it is going to be a girl. However, my sister and his sister both swear it is a boy. I could really care less, I just want the baby to be healthy!!

A month is WAY to long to go between check-ups when you are a worry wart like Brady and I. I woke up this morning, nervous, but anxious. We went to Lubbock to finish Christmas shopping and then to the doctor appointment. Marva and Darrell (Brady's parents) went along with us and Marva got to come into the room with us. Dr. Killeen started the sonogram and everything looked great....Just like it should. After many different angles on the baby....Dr. Killeen came up with an educated guess...about 88% sure...we are having.......................... a BOY!!! We are ecstatic!! Can't believe that everything is just perfect and I feel so blessed to be able to feel all these feelings. I've been more emotional today than I have the entire pregnancy, up to this point. We are SO AMAZINGLY blessed beyond words.

We are excited, anxious, in awe, and loving every minute of our journey so far. We can't wait to see what the future holds for our little man. I've been praying since day one that God would help Brady and I to raise our child in a Christian home and help us show him to be a Godly man or woman. Now, I am praying for my little man's future spouse. I want him to have the relationship with his wife that Brady and I have together.

I knew I loved Brady before we were pregnant, but knowing that our child is growing in my tummy brings our love into a whole new perspective. I am SO blessed!!!

Today we are 14 weeks and we will be 18 weeks the next time we see Dr. Killeen. We get to have our first 3D sonogram at 19 weeks...only 5 weeks away!! I will post pictures of today's sonogram when we get them scanned in. Christmas is always a busy time. Hope this finds you enjoying your Christmas with your friends and family. We definitely are!!

It's About Time!!!

Well, I've decided to jump on the bandwagon! I'm excited to be blogging and documenting memories as they are made. Just wanted to give you a little update on my life up to this point.

Brady and I graduated from Tarleton State University in May of 2007 . We LOVED going to school there and miss Stephenville and all our wonderful friends!! In June, Brady and I got married behind my parent's house. It was a wedding I have always dreamed of and all that I could have imagined it to be. It was beautiful and I got to take home the best thing...Brady. We went on our honeymoon to Ruidoso (both our parents went their for their honeymoon). We had a blast!

After we got back from the honeymoon, we drove to our new home...Alvarado, TX. The town is about 35 miles South of Ft. Worth. We loved it there, just wished it was closer to our families. Brady was the ag teacher there for two years (and got to teach with one of our best friends), while I taught 8th grade Math and Science and coached. Needless to say, we never got to see each other. We bought our first house and fell in love with it!

At Christmas 2008, Brady signed a contract at Hale Center beginning in May. YEAH!! We were SO excited to be moving closer to our familes, especially since my sister's first baby was due January 30. So, we packed our house (that we finally sold in Aug.) and moved home in June.

So, we are now at Christmas 2009 and we are here just enjoying life living close to our families and getting to make up for lost time. I love getting to see my sister and her baby, Caylee, a lot!! She is SO much fun and so enjoyable to be around. She is SO SO SO Sweet!! We love it here!!
